How the Koch Method Works

Full-Speed Audio

Characters are sent at 18-20 WPM from day one so you learn the rhythm instead of counting dots.

90% to Advance

Stay on the current stage until you can copy at least 90% of the characters correctly.

One Symbol at a Time

Each new stage adds exactly one character from the official 40-symbol Koch sequence.

Listen / Copy / Review

Play a random character, type what you heard, and review the log to spot trouble letters.

Koch Method FAQ

How long should I stay on each stage?

Most learners move on after 1-3 focused sessions. If accuracy drops, repeat short drills with only the two newest characters.

What if I get stuck around 80% accuracy?

Reduce session length, play the audio slightly slower, and shadow copy along with the tone before guessing.

Can I change WPM between stages?

Keep character speed fixed. If you need breathing room, widen the spacing instead of slowing the tone itself.
